Henry Ford once said, “When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”
Obviously this is true, and I believe it’s also true with us, as humans. Sometimes, it feels like everything is against us, even the wind. But my God, is for me, not against me. I love that, even though He’s for us, He’s also honest. God helps us to get things straight, to know right from wrong, to fix our lives for the better.
But He is never our enemy. He’s never against us! I love that because that means the God of the universe is on my side. So why do we worry? Why should we stress when we have the worlds greatest, biggest fighter on our side?
So the next time you feel like you are in a battle of any kind. Lift your eyes to the maker of heaven and earth and say, “Thank you that you are on my side, you fight for me.” Find peace in knowing that God, is in control and we don’t have to worry, we only have to trust Him.
